Our Family's Bitter/Sweet Life

What a gift!

Mr. Nurse Boy here.  (Yeah, it's been a while.)

We have done our best to keep our kids as innocent as possible.  Dimples learned about the birds and the bees reading the Bible for goodness sakes.  We are at a loss as to how to address his Christmas gift for Mrs. Nurse boy this year:

So, do you think he thought this was funny because he is calling his mom a bad girl?  Why do you think Dimples thinks Santa would be more jolly knowing about these bad girls?  Is it so he can avoid hair pulling, scratching, and being talked about behind his back by avoiding these bad girls?  Or is it so he can avoid their homes, skip the trip down their chimney, and leave the underside of their tree barren (which is quite the opposite of what the cup is implying)?

Is it wrong that we think this is so funny and a little bit alarming at the same time?

The worst part is Dimples was with his maternal grandma and grandpa when he purchased this gift.  Do you think they actually read it?  Do you think they were so uncomfortable they just avoided it, or do you think they thought it would be hilarious to let him give his mother this gift?  I can't wait to talk to Dimples about this in the years to come!

Something tells me he will turn 5 shades of red.

In the meantime, he keeps asking his mom why she isn't drinking out of her new cup...

Oh Lordy - that is just too stinkin' funny!

And goodness knows you need to blog the follow-up, LOL!

(I am finding it absolutely hilarious that he was with his grandparents when he picked it out!)

***LAUGHING***

Some questions are truly better left unasked! Tell Mrs. Nurse Boy to fill it with water and let Dimples see her use the cup at least once, then stash it.

Oh, that is so funny. Even better that he was Mrs. Nurse Boy's parents. Awesome.

Too funny.Knowing where the bad girls live would make his job that much easier. If someone made my job easier, it would make me jolly. Twisted logic, but logic anyway.
I know some grandmas who would have only read Santa" & "jolly" and deemed it totally appropriate.
Make sure you have a hidden video camera handy when you explain it to him.

Drink up and make the whole house merry! He's young, unaware, and that glass is all the more a hoot of love! :)

Oh... and it's A-OK, to tell Dimples that married Santas only have one Mrs. Bad Girl. :)

I would guess he isn't thinking of the term "bad girls" the way you are...maybe...but yeah, it will be one to talk about when he gets older. :-)

Ha! Maybe it's the age of boy. My #5 is always turning up with big ears and eye popping comments duing conversations we're having with his big brothers.

It will be alot of fun in a couple or ten years though.

I vote she should use the cup every day! After all it is a gift from her son. January is such a "gloomy," time why not carry the laughter over for a while.

Or you Mr. could use it as your night stand cup. He-he

USE the cup yourself. Ha ha
It would make a great night stand cup or a pencil holder.

I love it!
