Mrs. Nurse Boy here.
IT'S FRIDAY!!!! Can I get a hallelujah?!
This weekend the boys do not have soccer games for some bizarre reason. However, Dimples is heading off to a Junior Bible Quiz Meet. I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am that he signed up for something as challenging and spiritual as JBQ. It is hard work and he studies EVERY NIGHT for it! He really impresses me! I am not sure I am that disciplined NOW, much less when I was 9 years old!
Oh, who am I kidding. I am not even close.
Go Dimples! Kick some Christian butt! Oh, wait a minute. I might need to reign that in a little... or maybe a lot, huh?
Just kidding! ;0)
So, what's for dinner? How about something easy, healthy, and yummy?
Garlic Ranch Chicken
Here is EVERYTHING you will need! As always, SIMPLE and DELICIOUS! And, for an added bonus, you can have your husband grill these bad boys outside and keep your kitchen clean!
Can I just say that I LOVE it when my kitchen stays clean?!
You will need:
4-6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
1 cup fat free ranch dressing
2 tablespoons chopped garlic (As you can see, I used minced. I hate to smell like garlic!)
2 tablespoons parsley (fresh or dried)
My favorite part?! A zip lock bag!
Throw the chicken breasts in the bag. Next, add the 3 other ingredients. Close bag and shake it all about. Yep! It IS that easy. The recipe suggests throwing this in the fridge for at least 30 minutes. I agree with the suggestion. It really does help the flavor.
The recipe also suggests grilling the meat. It was a beautiful night, so that is what we did. I still think it would be amazing in the oven. The meat was really moist and the flavor was perfect.
Here they are, fresh off the grill! Not the best picture. What can I say, we were hungry?!
Have a terrific weekend!

Sounds great. Chicken and ranch, Buddy's two favorite things. He'd have to eat it, right?
Here's your HALLELUJAH right here!
And yeah... go kick some Christian butt, LOL. We just call that "as iron sharpens iron", right? :)
Recipe sounds delish. However, this culinary-challenged chick has actually destroyed a kitchen with a ziplock bag. Umm yeah... vigourously shaking 15 pounds of diced potatoes in a quart sized bag full of italian seasoning is a recipe for disaster (pun intended).
But now I'm hungry...!
YAY! Go Dimples! Kick that christian butt... err, or not.
If I cooked, I would totally make that tonight. But I'm way too spoiled when it comes to cooking. I just let my husband or FIL do it all! But then I have to do clean up.
BTW, as I was starting to write this comment, I glanced over at the picture of Bruiser and noticed he's wearing a clip on tie with his t-shirt. NICE! :)
Many blessing,
Michelle
Good luck with the quizzing!
We are having chicken tonight. Marinated in olive oil and lime juice( fresh ) then grilled with GARLIC as well. Is halloween in the air? Are we trying to protect our selves from the creatures that will start lerking?
Hey, by the way. Boy mom is off track AGAIN. #4 broke his femur. He had surgery yesterday. I talked to Susan this morning, all went well. Here is my e-mail. If you are interested in sending something to up lift and support this young man, I am going to put togerther a little package for him. Or maybe send a card. I am sure Boy Mom would appreciate it.

Is it wrong to kick some Christian Quiz butt? Good luck to him, I think he'll do great if the study sessions have anything to do with it.
And the chicken...yum.
That is my kind of recipe!
I will make that soon!
Oh my goodness! I did JBQ as a kid! How wonderful your kids can do it-
(AMEN that it is the weekend-I swear, my boys had so much homework this week-I am tired and sick of school!)
Good luck to Dimples!
I'm hungry now... dinner looked yummy! I'm going to have to start a recipe box of "Mrs. Nurse Boy" recipes!
Y'all have a great weekend! :)
GO DIMPLES!!!!
That looks good but Wolf gets upset if I use too much garlic and I have a lot of trouble using garlic and knowing when his idea of "too much" is... it's WAY before mine. MMmmmmm GARLIC.
I'm pretty sure this is a recipe even I could make!
