Things That Make Me Smile

Mrs. Nurse Boy here.

I am not musically talented, but I did play the flute for 6 years. I loved band and found the flute to be challenging and enjoyable. My flute might be dusty now, but my memories aren't.

Now I get to watch my son find his love of music. Dimples started playing the violin this year. He has really enjoyed it. And, I think he is pretty talented, if I do say so myself.

That makes me smile!

I love the violin! I played flute too, but looking back I wish I had learned to play the violin as well. You should post a video of him playing! I would love to hear it!

He looks so cute playing the violin! My mom used to play and would drag it out every great once in a while. I hope he continues to enjoy it as years go by. I'll bet it's better then the recorder!

Alas, I can only play the stereo.

Both of my children were musically inclined, and we heard (in no particular order) flute, piccolo, tuba, sax, trombone, piano, oboe, and violin. The cat hated most of them. She would come to me and pat my arm and give a mournful cry when the girls were practicing.

It's good to see a child enjoy playing an instrument.

How very cool. He looks like a natural holding it. Please show a video.

Awesome I played the viola for three years. Then picked up the clarinet for 5. Couldn't play it now even if I had to. Four years ago I traded it to Boy Mom for her breast pump.

Thanks for sharing. I love music. Music is love.

I hope that my kids pick up something musical at some point. Buddy loves music and Buster loves to sing (though if he got my voice, he probably won't do it much longer!!).

Dimples is too cute!
