It's Fall Y'All

Since we didn't have any soccer games this past weekend, it was a great excuse to hit the biggest pumpkin patch in town! And, it was the PERFECT fall day. Cool and breezy, but not freeze-your-toes-off-cold.

They are ready for some fall fun!

My little pumpkin heads.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Here we are on the train, ready for the MOST expensive ride of our lives. Yes, it cost us a total of $15 for all of us to board. The train ride lasted 4 minutes, TOPS. Lesson learned. We will skip this part next year.

The more I look at this picture, I am noticing that my kids kind of DO look like me. I have always thought they received only Nurse Boy genes. But, honestly, I see a little bit of me in each of them. I guess I should get in the pictures more often and I might notice this.

This is how us city folk play cowboys...

Ya know, with a steel horse and a hula hoop. Hey, it works for us and no one has to clean up any... waste.

In the corn maze.

Having nothing but fun!

That's my Bruiser.

All of my boys on top of the jungle gym.

Sweet Pea has got her daddy right where she wants him.

Here we are in the pumpkin patch. They had so much fun.

Which one should we get?

I think she just might be a country girl at heart.

My man carrying our perfect pumpkin. Yes, we only purchased one. On our way home we bought 2 more at the grocery store. Just call us cheap. Hey, we have to put 3 kids through college in the near future!

It isn't fall until you've ridden in a wheel barrel.

And, Bruiser couldn't agree more!

It was a great day. Plus, I will be craving some more pumpkin doughnuts all year long. I have a date with several next fall. You just can't go wrong with fried bread, can you?
(Sorry, I forgot to take pictures of the doughnuts. We devoured them much too fast!)

i love me some pumpkin donuts. What a fun time and trip. WE missed our annual apple fest and pumpkin patch trip due to rain but will hit the pumpkin patch later this fall. I hope. It is cold here already.

Looks like so much fun!! I have to say, that before you even said that your kids look like you, I thought it in my head and went back and forth looking at pictures. They have your face shape for sure.

Great pictures!

That did look like the perfect day. Your family is so adorable.

We grew our own pumpkins this year it is fun to do.

Thank goodness no soccer for you. Not here and there is already snow on the mountain tops.

Pumpkin donuts sound great, I have never had one. I have a recipe for Pumpkin waffle cookies. The are fun to make with the kids. They think the waffle iron is awesome. I also have a CHOCOLATE waffle cookie recipe. It is very dangerous!!!! LOL

Okay... if you MADE those pumpkin donuts, it would be cruel and unusual punishment to withhold the recipe. Especially from your (ahem) sweet bloggy friends with a major sweet tooth :)

And goldurnit... if you didn't get your kids smiling in every picture. How on earth do you manage that? Or do you really have the rarest of the rare??? "Perfect children" (gasp!) :) Just adorable!

Great pictures! I love taking my kids to the pumpkin patch every year! They usually get to pick one of the tiny pumpkins and then we get a big one at the grocery store. I am cheap too!

I love your blog! I love fall! I love your pictures. I love pumpkins. Ahh, can you tell this is my time of year?!?! Great post and it looks like you had a blast. I have got to look around here to see if we have a pumpkin farm. New family traditions to start.

Fall seemed to start in August here in MI-it has been unseasonably cold here-
I do see you in your kids-
I do NOT see myself in mine,though...

What a great post. I've been missing me some Nurse Boy Family.

I love pumpkin, I think I'm even going to fulfill my life long goal and make a pumpkin cake roll this year. My life long goals are so inspiring.

Mrs NB, you are so gorgeous, those adorable kidletts got their good looks from you for sure, Mr. NB gave them the grace and charm.

Is is silly that I got slightly excited to see another picture of you on your blog???

I love the shot of your big strong man walking off to the horizon with his pumpkin :) and the shot of your little pumpkinheads too!

Now, PUMPKIN DOUGHNUTS? You crazy americans and your sweet pumpkiny food. Pumpkins are for roasting and for soup and for savoury dishes! And you put brown sugar and stuff on your sweet potatoes... it's craziness I tell ya!

I do like me some pumpkin pie though ;) oooh, grandma's pumpkin scones are pretty yummy too... but that's IT!

I love the photos, especially...well...all of them!

The one of Sweet Pea and Mr. Nurse Boy is classic and of him carrying the pumpkin!

I'm so glad you shared our trip with us. . . makes me feel like I was there!

That looks like so much fun! I don't think we have anything like that around here. There's a church near by that has an annual pumpkin "patch" but I'm pretty sure they get trucked in and there really isn't much to do other than wander about and pick the pumpkin with the least amount of fruit flies circling. :( I think I might have skipped out on the $15 train ride too.

Great pics. As much as I like Autumn, I really don't care for what follows.
I do like me some pumpkin doughnuts, especially with a big glass of milk.

I stumbled on here after seeing your blog title... who could resist checking that out?
I, too, have 2 older boys (11 & 8) and a three year old girl. I was the stay at home mom, but now my hubs stays home (former auto worker) and I went back full time as a... nurse!
Love your blog, your photos remind me of the weather here in the heartland... have a blessed day!

I just love fall! It's my favorite time of year. I tried to convince hubby to go to the pumpkin patch this weekend, but it didn't happen. Maybe this weekend.

Love the pictures. They are all so adorible.

Where are you? I need a Mrs. Nurse Boy fix! I hope all is well.

I knew you had "country" in you. I mean, riding horses and working in the soil and riding in wheelbarrows! So proud of you ;o)

Looks like you had a great time!
