Per Someone's Request...

Mrs. Nurse Boy here. I know, I know. Longtime, no see. Let me explain.

Yesterday we received this message on our answering machine...

"Alright. Hi. This is your brother. I am calling to inform the Nurse Boy family that I am very disappointed in how you have been handling your responsibilities lately.

I am not sure, but it appears that you are spreading yourself too thin. But, you need to get on track and handle your responsibilities as necessary. This is just not acceptable. I have been to your blog several times since last Tuesday, October 6 and that date is the last time the blog has been updated. Now, this is unacceptable for the fact that I rely, as many others do, on this blog on a daily basis to provide entertainment and updates of the Nurse Boy clan. This simply has not happened and simply cannot continue this way.

Therefore, I am going to send out a formal request that you guys go ahead and update this blog as you have done in the past. For now, we will keep this warning verbal. But, if this is going to continue to happen, you will receive a written warning.

Thank you."

Yep. That message was from my brother. Not to mention that several others have called, emailed, or left a comment about our absence. Thanks for noticing :0)

Thankfully, we are all alive and well. No need to be concerned. We are simply enjoying the fall, eating anything and everything pumpkin, freezing our tushies off at soccer games, and spending time with one another. Plus, my house is clean! That, my friends, is always worth noting! (Laundry is another story, but we can't have it all, can we?!) Nurse Boy and I also snuck away for an entire weekend to go to an AMAZING marriage conference and an equally delightful bed and breakfast. MINUS our lovely children! Love them dearly, but it was time to reconnect as a husband and wife. No fruit snacks, butt wiping, cartoons, or chicken nuggets for a full 48 hours.

Yep. It was heavenly.

All that to say that we are taking a little bloggy break. We will be back in full swing next Monday!!! Come back for some randomness. I am pretty sure we will be sharing some "Ah-ha" moments from out marriage conference as well. Oh, and my favorite pumpkin recipes, because NOTHING says fall like PUMPKINS!

Now, go hug your hubby and tell him that you love and respect him! Trust me, he needs the reminder. They all do! :0)

Until next week...

Well, y'all we're going to get an e-mail from me today, in fact. I was wondering why y'all were MIA. Glad it's all good stuff. Enjoy the break! :)

I guess we can let this one slide. I'll just sit here by my computer waiting for Monday to roll around... it's not like I have anything else to do...

I was bored at work today and kept checking my blogger dashboard and then it hit me. No posts from Mr. or Mrs. Nurse Boy. I was all set to send an email and then I got interrupted.

Glad to hear that all is well. Enjoy your break!!

I was hoping that you also weren't struck down by a computer virus. Glad to hear that everyone is doing well.
BTW, I don't have a husband, so I'll hug my wife instead. Hope that's OK.

I just want everyone to know that I did wipe my own butt over the weekend.

I don't know about the Mrs.

I think it's wonderful that you did that. I'm not sure most of us could pull that off without feeling like we lost our right arm. Sad, I know. Glad you have been enjoying your family. And if you like pumpkin stuff, I did a post this week (might have been the Water Cooler Monday 10-11-09) that has a recipe link for Pumpkin White Chocolate Drops (yummy pumpkin cookies with cream cheese frosting that has brown sugar added to it - amazing). See you next week :o)

Mr. Nurse Boy...uh...thanks for the update I guess.

Well, I'm glad your brother was on my side. I tell you, if I don't get a dose of that humor of yours at least once a week I am lost. Lost I tell you!

I hope I can hold out until Monday. *sigh*

*Whew*!! I sure am relieved to know that you all are alright!!! I thought maybe you had been stricken with the H1N1 bug or perhaps a computer virus or were in an accident...
See how my mind runs rampant sometimes???
Promise...*raise your right hand*....to not do this again, okay? You can at least post a quick notice to let us know that you will be away for awhile,k? It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Just a "Gone fishing....be back soon" will do.
I'm so glad that all is well! *sigh of relief* :-)

I am interested in pumpkin recipes that you are willing to share and where this marriage weekend was! How do I sign up? Does a marriage weekend require you bring your husband along? Can't I work on our marriage while he stays home and cleans or something?

WOW about time. I was about ready to send out a search and rescue crew, or grab Boy Mom and jump on a plane to come find you. I have been worried about you, seriously. Glad to know all is well.

The change to fall has been fun.
