Bruiser Knows His Stuff

Mrs. Nurse Boy here.

My little Bruiser is a kindergartner this year. He has recently been writing some of his own stories. And, by stories, I mean Spiderman vs. bad guys. You know that Spiderman can rid the world of evil, right? Sigh, if only it WERE that simple.

Today I would like to share some new vocabulary I discovered in Bruiser's latest story. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Spidremon Saves the Dae!
Biye Bruiser

wuns----(once) But, of course!

namde----(named)

bcuz----(because)

osum----(awesome) My personal favorite!!!!

wus----(was)

robr----(robber) Because ALL of his stories have a robber in them, duh!

dwun----(down)

Hooked on phonics worked for him!

Oh, I kid! I love phonics and I am very proud of him. But, I will have this story on display at his wedding reception. Come on, he'll thank me for it!

I think it's OSUM!!!!

I can read "Kindergarten"! You did a great translation-way to go!
I also read your post on your daughter's birthday-I didn't know I would need tissues to wipe my tears-how sweet was that!
Love that!

I love children's literature (that which is written BY children). I also love kids drawings, which is why we do alot of drawing in Sunday school. Every story needs illustrations, right?

Love those first spelling words. My senior still writes kindergarten, sigh. I guess he took that book, All I Ever Needed to Know I Learned in Kindergarten a little to seriously.

So cute!!! I love when they mispronounce words. My boys talk about robbers all the time too!

Much love from NJ,

Your son reminds me of how I imagine Jonathan being at that age. He is already into Superman and Spiderman...especially Spiderman.

I also loved the post on your daughter's birthday. I can't comment on both because I'm at work and should be "working" Even though I've finished all my work today I can find something to do, right?

I love little stories like these that the kids write. I have a whole journal that my son wrote in Kindergarten. I will cherish it forever!
