Monday's Random Musings

Mrs. Nurse Boy here.

I hope all of you had a blessed Resurrection Sunday! I LOVE Easter and usually cry my way through half of the service. We have a AWESOME Savior! Yesterday was a sweet reminder of all he has done for me. Honestly, so is everyday that I get to wake up, breathe in fresh air, and be a mommy to my amazing kids. Oh, and a wife. (Hey, I still like to take jabs at Nurse Boy ;0)

Today my sweet children are home and coming off of a sugar high. Pray for us. ;0) So, I present to you Easter weekend through our random family photos.
Coloring eggs...

Lots of waiting...

You can't see it, but mommy was praying for a mess free dye session...

Bruiser, showing off his art work...

Sweet Pea getting all gussied up!

Doesn't she look pretty?

And, the dress twirling begins...

A princess and her daddy..

Dimples won these at church...

Bruiser won these...(Magic tricks, in case you think he really stuck a pen through his tongue.) Hey, you win some and you lose some. But, someday Dimples will grow out of those roller blades and I think I know who will enjoy them next...
Ready to hunt some eggs!

The loot!

My "peeps!" Aren't they cute?

I lovde your new header, what darling kids.

So tell me did the egg dunking go mess free? I had the same kit and my neice spilled the pink dye all over bu t she also spilled the dye that was in a plastic dish. Go figure, I think she has a curse upon her head. But I still adore her, it jsut takes a lot of patience.

My little Lil' is dress twirler also. I can tell she is a Daddy's girl. So is mine, sometimes I get jealous. He has been unempployed for a few weeks and she has him wrapped around her finger. He even took her to see Hannah Montana, just the too of them. I love him.

I agree our Savoir is wonderful, I am glad you had an awesome Easter weekend.

I love the new layout and the new photos! They are so cute.

I am not even risking the egg dying thing until Jonathan is at least 3, which would...uh...be next year. It may still be messy but maybe then he will listen better.

Right? he will, right? Right?!

Suz~ The egg dying was fairly mess free! I was pleasantly surprised especially since this is the first year we have EVER dyed eggs. So very sad, I know! This year my kids will finally eat hard boiled eggs, so we went all out. I wasn't about to make them if they refused to eat them...

Johhy's Mommy~ Yes! Oh, yes! A three year old will listen to you! (rolling my eyes now)

You obviously don't know me well enough, yet. My boys were so very hard to like at 3 years old. Two? Loved them! Four? Delighted in them! Three? Well, I plead the fifth...

LOVE the new picture in your header and the blog layout. You got the greatest pictures!!

When Kyle turned 2 I could not figure out why Moms would complain about the terrible 2's. We breezed right through them and I felt a little smug (in my own mind). Ummm no one told me about the torturous 3's. They were brutal!! So glad only one more to go through them.

We went to the zoo today and Peyton was great up until an employee told her she couldn't go in the play area b/c she was too little. My Mom carried her out kicking and screaming all the while laughing. (She's been in Florida for the winter and still thinks it's funny.) It simply exasperates me that people blatantly stopped and stared at her when we were at a public place specifically for kids. I don't understand what they hope to gain by watching. It didn't bother me today b/c it wasn't "me" under the microscope at the moment but sometimes its unnerving.

Soooo cute! Easter is always a weensy bit sad because I'd love to do an Easter dress, and hat, and gloves, and twirling and princesses but can never convince even one single boy of mine to sacrifice his manhood for the day. Fortunately the chocolate makes up for a lot of pain and church is always so sweet.

I love the new pictures!

We aren't so into the easter dress-ups here. I never heard of fancy new outfits for easter until I had more US contacts. Sweet Pea does look adorable though and in the header photo she looks like she is being held in place by some controlling big brothers but still adorable (perhaps it was just to stop the twirling for a minute?)

Unlike Boy Mom I am sure that if I decided I wanted to do a pretty dress for one of mine for Easter Dragon would be right into that idea, he likes fruffiness. Lion cracks me up with his idea of dresses, I wear them so rarely that when I put one on Lion asks why I am in my dancing clothes. Dragon reminded me on sunday why I no longer go for dresses when he lifted my dress way up high for all to see my "comfy" undies. He was standing on a chair so he had quite a bit of height on him! My friends little sister just about wet herself laughing. Happy to entertain.
