Welcome to another tour hosted by Kelly at kellyskornerblog.com. Today you can hop over there and check out dining rooms! I am joining the tour yet again this week, but please remember that we are not a formal family. We are very casual and I prefer it that way.
Welcome to our dining room.
This is a place where we entertain and play games. We were going for practical and comfortable.
This table has a butterfly leaf that comes out and transforms this table into a square. The bench, seen against the wall, can then be pulled up to the table. It seats 8 adults very comfortably.

The french doors lead out to the backyard.
Here is my photo wall. I love pictures and I have chosen to display many of my favorites in this room.
Cute kids, huh?! All three of them were in my brother's wedding last May. I love this display.
(Underneath that table is storage for our TV trays. They don't get used often, but can be handy to have around.)
But, wait! There's more...
Our family room is connected to the dining room.
This room is just perfect for entertaining any time of the year.
We keep this room TV free, so we can do our family devotionals in here or read in peace. Nurse Boy has even been found studying in here.
Thanks for stopping by! Come back next Friday for a tour of my kids' rooms. Sweet Pea's room will finally be unveiled!

I love that bench under the kids' pictures!
So beautiful and homey! I love it all! Thanks for sharing. I'd have to declutter before I shared my dining room this week, so that will not be happening ;o)
BTW - I made the Spinach and Mushroom Chicken Wed. night and might I just say - YUMMY! I loved it and it was a pretty big hit with everyone else, too. Thanks so much for sharing. Now I have a new recipe to add to the rotation - and it's SO easy!
I love your photo wall! That is my favorite way to decorate. My whole living room is filled with family photos! :) Thanks for sharing!
Is your table a counter height table? If so I think we have the same one :) We only have 4 chairs right now, but we're definitely going to have to add more chairs very soon
I love a table with a bench! Nice dining room.
I love the openness of your space...from the Dining Room to the Family Room. Great for gathering!
Thanks for sharing !
We are very casual too... in fact I think a dining room is wasted space. Nevertheless, we have one. I LOVE your bench! Your dining room is nice. It reminds me of mine. That's as formal as we roll around here! :)
I love that your two rooms are open to each other. Wish mine were!
Your house is so stinkin' cute! Can I come live with you? I make cookies every Friday, I don't splash when I pee and I do my own laundry.
I'm so excited to see Sweet Peas room.
love your table! thanks for commenting on my blog, too! thanks for sharing!
Very cute photo wall and kids! Thanks for sharing your dining room:)
Your dining room makes mine look really bad. Oh Wait, that is because my dining room does look bad...
Poop on Jelly? Love it, too cute!
You have a beautiful dining room. I love the rich color of your table!
Wow again, are you sure you live in this house? So neat and tidy, no toys in sight. I love your picture wall. You really have a
great decorating talent. So does, Boy Mom. Maybe if I get a little cash I could fly you out and let you and Boy Mom make over my house. It is little but has some great qualites, that I haven't yet brought out. The other day, when I was home dead sick on the couch I cought my self crying while watching a home makeover show. Silly huh, Maybe it was the Nyquil hang over, or not!
I hope all is well.
Gee thanks for publishing me. I read the chicken recipe. Sorry I haven't dropped by for awhile, life has been busy. I left a few other comments.
i like your family room!
Love your picture wall-- cute kids!
Your house is beautiful! Love the dining set!
Where are the chocolate smears on the walls? Why is your rug straight? Why are no lego men sitting on your raffia heart thingy? These are the questions I need answered!
Oh, and I'll help Boy Mom bake if you let me live there too. Actually forget baking, I'll bring Timtams!
I LOOOVE your dining table. I like the idea of a square and your bench is georgous!!
I am so happy to hear your statement of faith and that you do family devotions :)
