Friday Fare!

Mrs. Nurse Boy here.
So, summer is in the air, school is almost out, and I am now shaving my legs on a regular basis. (Hey, I am just trying to keep it real around here.) Now, if I could only get Nurse Boy to let me shave his back on a regular basis. Sigh... Why is it that when men age, they lose the hair on top of their head, only to grow it EVERY WHERE else???

I can't wait to have my kids home with me. It has been such a transitional year for our family. I know they need time to just be a family. Hopefully, it will be a terrific summer!

Don't forget to check out Kelly's home tours over HERE. She is touring guest rooms today. Sweet Pea's room is our guest room, so I opted to wait for next week's room. I believe we will be posting photos of our dining rooms, so come back next week to tour mine.

Today's Friday Fare is so fun because my new bloggy friend Suz left this recipe in my comments a few weeks back. And, since I cannot resist a good chicken recipe, I gave it a try. It is one of my new favorites. This is a great summer recipe, too! Plus, it meets my simple, easy, and delicious requirements.

Spinach and Mushroom Chicken

4-6 chicken breasts
fresh spinach
16 oz. WHOLE mushrooms
Kraft sundried tomato dressing

Place chicken in a 13x9 pan and cover with dressing. Top with as much spinach as you like. (Remember that it will cook down, so be generous.) Top with mushrooms. Top with some more dressing. Bake (covered with foil) at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes, until chicken is cooked through.
Doesn't this look awesome, fresh from the oven?!

Nurse Boy and I loved this stuff! The mushrooms are AWESOME!!!

And, since I like to keep it real around here, I must be honest about something. My kids scraped the spinach and mushrooms off of the chicken before they ate it. But, they did eat it! Plus, more mushrooms for us!
I hope everyone has a terrific weekend!

That looks awesome! I will definitely try it. Chicken is on sale this week at the local grocer, too, so I'll score on some cheap chicken!

Um - shaving your legs regularly? So soon? Mine definitely need to be mowed!

Downside to the tropics... you gotta shave year round. That doesnt mean I do but generally you probably should.

I'm not a mushroom person really, I don't mind the flavour, but the texture is what gives me issues. Not sure why. I am just starting to get into spinach lately. I have a bit of a spinach thing when I'm pregnant.

Best chicken ever! One of Suz's best recipes. We add grated carrots to the spinach sometimes.

I can't wait to see Sweet Peas room, bedrooms and Easter dresses are my only link to still wanting a daughter.

Ahh the joys of shaving, #7 told me my legs poked holes in him and he needed a band aid.

LOVE me some mushrooms and spinach! This looks scrumptious. I'm the only one here that would eat it. SIGH.

I detest shaving my legs.

I MADE IT!!!! ME! NOT MY HUB, AND THAT SAYS A LOT-I sent him the e-mail with the ingredients, and he bought what I needed. It looked so easy, I decided to impress him, and the neighbors-and made it!!! It was AWESOME! Thank you for this-we all loved, loved, LOVED it!!! I will be making it again soon, and next time, no chicken nuggets for the kids as a back-up plan, because they loved it too!! :)

That chicken looks great. I think I may try that this week! If I have time between all the laundry I have to catch up on.

Love the bit about shaving your legs. . . I have to do that too. *sigh* It's such a pain.

Hubby's back? No...he's OK there. So far.

I glad you tired it. I actually got it from a morning news show. I is one of our favorites to. Plus if you ever have to take a meal into someone this is a good one. I looks gourmet. Try it with rice
