Randomness~ On Tuesday!

Mrs. Nurse Boy here.
Right now I should be cleaning, cooking, and snuggling with my little princess who has a cough that would make you think we have a full grown German Shepherd living with us. (I think she has the very "croup" that all of the preschool parents insist is not contagious while they drop their kids off and run to work. Gr...) My in laws are coming in town for Thanksgiving and I am hosting both sides of the family on Thanksgiving Day. My to-do list is long and yet I find myself watching Dancing with the Stars and cleaning every closet and drawer in the house. I guess everyone will just have to pretend not to see the dust. But, I sure hope they check out my kitchen cabinets. WHY do I do that?!
Now, for some randomness...
We celebrated both of the boys' birthdays this weekend with my family.

I still cannot believe they are 10 and 7!!!

We had a little bit of a Star Wars theme. Who in the world would buy Dimples a Lego set with 500 pieces? Oh, wait... that was me.

Surely, I wouldn't have bought him TWO different sets?? But, I did. I blame Nurse Boy. He turns into a 7 year old when we enter Toys R Us.

We even bought Bruiser an electric guitar. Honestly, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME???

Here is the cake my mom made. Not really the best example of her skills, but the boys loved it and it was simple for her to throw together during the week.

The light sabers even lit up on the cake!

My brother (on the left) and Nurse Boy stole the brand new light sabers from the boys and, well, looked ridiculous as they "battled" in my family room. Do they EVER really grow up??

The answer, as you can see, is NO!
Happy Birthday to my little guys!

Totally cracking up at the "adults" - cuz Lawd knows that men never grow up :)

And my man just turns into a BEAR at Toys R Us.... something about gun control donations or political party contributions or ???

And then I go and buy Itty Bit the loudest and most easy-to-break toy I can find. Yeah...

Your boys look like they had a blast! Happy Birthday kiddos!

Mixin' it up a bit with randomness on a Tuesday ~ I like it!

Oh my word... YOU are responsible for the Legos??? I think it was 2 years ago, Bubba wanted that stupid Jabba the Hut Lego ship. It was, of course, the ONLY thing he begged and begged for so we bought it and I spent NINE, yes NINE, hours putting it together on Christmas Day. I think I went through an entire bottle of Excedrin. Never. Again.

Looks like the force is strong in your house! Great party pictures!

Awww, happy birthday boys! No, men do not grow up. I was thinking as I picked up a ton of megablocks, I should really get that 100 piece set of these that Walmart is going to have Friday for $9. Yeah, what was I thinking.

Randomness on a Tuesday? That is totally random!

Wow! 2 birthdays, how do you deal? I'm with you on the leggos. What were you thinking?!?! :) And boys, NEVER grow up. never. At least they didn't break the light sabers as my father in law is prone to do.

God bless and Happy Birthday to 2 special boys!

Love the adults playing!!

I banned Legos for Christmas this year. All Buddy has is sets and he can't do them, so it takes Jdaddy 3 hours to put the crap together and then if Buster even touches it, things fall off and Buddy has a meltdown. So yeah, no Legos. LOL

Sometimes we are so alike it frightens me. Like, right now for instance, I am blogging when I could stuff a pillow with the dust around my house, my baby has a cough that sounds like a St. Bernard, not a full grown German Shepherd but close, and I'm on the hunt for the perfect 500 billion piece traditional Christmas Lego set for eight sons.

Hugs to those handsome birthday boys.

I know! Where were you on Monday? I was all alone out there in bloggy land! Hummpf! What are you busy or something?! :-)

Happy birthday to the boys!

And sorry about your "older" boys. You're right. They never do grow up! My parents bought Jonathan lincoln logs for his birthday and my dad played with them more than the kid!

You always show such great pictures, Mrs. NB!!
Happy birthday to Dimples and Bruiser! And I surely hope little Sweet Pea gets over the croup and pronto! In Jesus' Name!
Loved seeing the BIG kids playing with the sabers! I would be the one to do THAT at our house! My DH would be worrying about something getting broken! *smile*
Happy Thanksgiving to your house from ours! ((HUGS))

You husband and I are a lot alike. My wife hates taking me to Toys-R-Us because I'm the biggest kid she has. Our grand son has said he like to come over because Papa has some cool toys.
And to answer your question, No we never grow up.It's a guy thing.
Hope your kiddos had a great birthday.

Happy Birthday to your boys!

I always have to hunt down Wolf and drag him kicking and screaming from Toys R Us. Then just this evening he admitted that he is into the kids lego so much because he didn't have it as a kid.

So how many of those 500 pieces have you stood on so far?
